About me

Dr Pascal Chazot has worked in the field of education and international cooperation for three decades. He was decorated with the President's medal by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the French government. Formerly elected to the Assembly of French Overseas (AFE), representing the constituency covering Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. he completed a term as a member of the IB board of directors. A civil servant at the Ministry of National Education, Pascal came to India on an official delegation as director of Alliance Française of Ahmedabad. This lasting experience in Mahatma Gandhi's city led to the desire to create a school "where children are happy"... where learning is fun and enriching. In 1998, after completing his tenure, he founded Mahatma Gandhi International School with Mrs. Anju Musafir, his wife. This public-private partnership with municipal authorities has become Gujarat's first International Baccalaureate school and an award-winning model in education. As Head of School and Director of Research and Training at MGIS, Pascal has carried out pioneering work in education with impact locally, nationally and internationally.
