Senior Astronomer at the Observatoire de Paris -PSL University, LESIA. PhD. Research interests: nature and evolution of planetary surfaces, small bodies (asteroids, comets, trans-Neptunians), radiative transfert in particulate medium. Teaching activities: master of Astronomy, Physics for undergraduate level, astronomy courses
for high school teachers, classroom activities. Key experience: Co-Principal Investigator of the SIMBIO-SYS instrument onboard the ESA/JAXA BepiColombo mission to planet Mercury (2018) and deputy-PI of MIRS onboard MMX (Mars Moon eXploration to be launched in 2026). Co-I on space probe instruments PHEBUS (BepiColombo) and MicroMega (Exomars). Author or co-author of more than 130 refereed publications in international journals. Former Head of the doctorate and head of the Master « Planetology and Space Exploration » at Paris Observatory -PSL. He is also deeply involved in EP/O activities and author of several popularization books on astronomy. Asteroid 7456 Doressoundiram has been named in his honor. French academic
medal for achievements in teaching activities.
